Installation
1. Remove the Dashboard
Remove the dashboard or access panel to expose the existing key switch and wiring.
2. Identify the Wiring
Using a voltmeter, identify and verify:
Ground
Constant battery voltage (12-70 V)
The constant voltage must be present whether the golf cart is turned ON or OFF.
3. Replace the Existing Key Switch
Install the XiQ unit in place of the existing key switch.
4. Connect the Wiring
The wiring order is critical. Make the connections as follows:
Black → Ground
Red → Constant battery voltage (12-70 V)
Green → One of the two ignition switch wires
Blue → The remaining ignition switch wire
After all connections have been completed, verify that the wiring is secure before restoring power.
